Polyurethane Flooring…
only the best for our canine friends!

After visiting a multitude of other daycare/boarding facilities, and months of research we decided to have some very expensive flooring installed. Why? Because we wanted to make sure we had the most comfortable and sanitary floor covering available for our canine friends.

Concrete or rubber mats seemed to be the norm for most facilities. Concrete can be easily sealed and provides an inexpensive, hygienic method. Rubber mats are popular, but come with a host of problems. Even if sealed correctly, urine will eventually permeate them causing a highly unsanitary situation.

Our challenge was to find a flooring that was seamless; water, ammonia and bleach proof; tough enough to withstand years of scratching from dog nails; textured to form a non slip surface, with a little cushion to allow a safe play surface.

And we found it! Specially formulated for us by a local manufacturer, it is a polyurethane – polyurea elastomer. This elastomeric urethane flooring is a flexible, comfortable, non-skid surface that WILL NOT absorb odors and is easily sanitized. It is completely non-toxic and fire retardant.
