Why
go to a dog daycare?
Have you ever
felt guilty because your dog is home alone a lot?
Do you wish your dog could get more exercise and
interaction while you are out working or busy
away from home? The solution is My Doggies
Daycare!
In answer
to the needs of today's pet owner, we provide
a cage-free, safe and stimulating environment
for your dog. Under caring supervision, our 6,000
sq. ft. facility allows dogs to romp and play
with each other, run through our agility equipment,
or just hang out and relax. We also join in the
fun, playing and caring for them, and ensuring
your dog feels at home.
How do I get started?
We conduct interviews 7 days a week, mornings and afternoons, whenever is convenient for YOU! Just call now to schedule a time; 949.709.4600. The whole process takes just 15-30 minutes. We will ask you to complete some paperwork, provide current vaccines, and then perform a “canine temperament test” to determine the disposition of your dog. You are welcome to tour our facility at this time, meet some of our staff, and voice any questions or concerns you may have regarding My Doggies Daycare. Making both YOU and your dog comfortable is our main goal.
Does my dog receive the first day of daycare free?
Yes! We want you to be completely comfortable with our facility and services before purchasing a pass or reserving space for boarding.
On the first day we gently and carefully introduce your pup into “the pack”. Whether it be the small dog room or the big dog room – or goal is to ensure a non-threatening experience where your dog will be curious rather than overwhelmed. We will monitor his/her activities throughout the day, and give you a complete report upon pick-up.
For dogs that are going to board with us, this free day must be used PRIOR to boarding and is not applicable towards a boarding stay. The purpose of bringing your pup to daycare prior to boarding is to help familiarize him/her with our staff and the other dogs, and encourage a stress free visit when they come back to board overnight. We believe in this practice so strongly – that we are willing to give you this day for free!
What are the benefits?
Dogs get a
great deal of physical exercise and even more
important, their behavior frequently improves
with the socialization which occurs at daycare.
This enables them to live a more relaxed life
and also makes for a more content pet in the home.
Instead of being lonely, isolated, and bored (which
can often result in destructive behavior and separation
anxiety) your dog goes home a happy and tired
pup!
You benefit
also, knowing that you don't have to feel guilty
about not having the time (or the energy) to provide
your dog with the daily socialization and exercise
he needs. Relax and enjoy your evenings; your
special friend will be very content to just rest
at your feet.
Be assured
that your dog is being well take care of by watching
your pet on DoggieCam (our web camera that operates
from 10am - 3pm, every day Monday through Saturday)
- a truly fun experience!

What if I want to
board my dog?
No problem!
Just call ahead to reserve his spot, as our spaces
fill up quickly. Unlike many boarding facilities,
your canine friend will be out in our large daycare
area playing all day. No need to pay extra for
"walks" or "play time." When
it is time to rest, the dogs will stay in their
designated dens in our kennel area. Our nightly
turn-down service includes a freshly cleaned and
filled stainless steel water bowl, and their own
special toys and treats arranged on their bedding.
In addition, we set the mood for relaxation with
special music designed to lull them to sleep.
While our dens are
comfortable, we limit the time your dog spends
there to feeding, digesting and sleeping. Our
goal is to make your pet extremely comfortable
while allowing them as much fun free time as possible.
We are even
open on Sunday's for boarding pick up or drop
off - morning time is 8am - 11am, afternoon is
2pm - 6pm.
What do I need to
bring for boarding?
We supply
most everything your dog will need to make for
a pleasant stay! We have bedding, food, bowls,
toys and treats. For familiarity, you may want
to consider leaving a "gently worn"
t-shirt or towel. Many dogs find it comforting
to have a familiar smell from home. Large beds,
comforters, quilts, brought from home will be
returned at check-in as our storage space is extremely
limited.
How
are the dogs fed? Do we purchase food from you?
We feed our
guests according to owner instructions. When you
check in, you will be asked if your dog is used
to eating once a day, twice a day or if you free
feed. We will ask for specific amounts at each
feeding and the type of food . We have found that
dogs may have gastric difficulties when changing
their diet, so we do ask that you bring your own
food. Please package any dry food in individually
bagged meals and bring an amount sufficient for
the stay. If for some reason we run out of food,
we will utilize Science Diet, Sensitive Stomach
for an additional fee.
Can
my dogs room together?
Certainly! Dogs from the same family may share a kennel if they are able to sleep together without argument or need for direct supervision. The $10 overnight fee applies to the kennel(s) used…so if you have two or three dogs and they all stay in the same kennel – you will only pay $10 per night.
My dog takes medications.
Is this a problem? Do you charge extra?
We have no problem
administering medications and will do so in accordance
with your instructions at no extra charge. Please
label medications as to type and dosage. Advise
us prior to check-in if your dog will be taking
medications while in our care.
Will
you bathe my dog before I pick up? What is the
cost?
We offer a
complimentary bath after a 6 night stay. If the
dog is matted, or extremely large there may be
a small fee - but we will advise you at time of
drop off. We also offer luxury baths which include
citrus and oatmeal shampoos, aloe conditioners,
nail trimming and filing, teeth brushing, ear
care, brush-outs, trimming hair between pads and
hygiene areas - even a full grooming with hand
clipping or shave down if you desire! Many of
our clients choose to schedule these services
at the end of their dog's stay. The cost will
vary depending on the dog's size, length and condition
of the coat, and overall time needed to complete
the service.
