Cradelle specializes in:
Working with dogs of all breeds, sizes & ages
Basic training & behavior modification
Plus overcoming aggression & anxiety issues
Proven and lasting reward-based methods
Expert instruction at both ends of the leash!
Imagine the following:
Your dog comes when called--no matter what
Your dog waits at doorways and curbs
Your dog sits politely when guests arrive
Your dog is calm when other dogs approach
Your dog responds well to exams & grooming
Your dog walks nicely on a loose leash
Cradelle doesn’t train dogs the way a lot of other trainers do. To her, commands like "heel," "sit" and "stay" are useful, but are really just one means to an end. The end being a nice, calm, responsive dog that can be taken most anywhere, trusted in the house, and can be around other dogs.
We often get calls from people who say their dog previously "failed" dog obedience training. The issue is typically not the dog but what the other dog obedience instructor failed to successfully teach the owner. Cradelle’s method of setting dogs up for success and focusing on both ends of the leash is a major factor that sets her apart.

Basic Obediance Training
Did you just get a new puppy, or adopt a dog from the shelter? Obedience training
is one of the best things you can do for
your new pup and is the foundation for solving just about any problem. Training opens up
a line of effective communication which is necessary to instruct your dog about what you want him/her to do. Come, sit, down, stay, walk on leash, and off commands are just the beginning. Obedience training will help your dog learn to listen to your instructions, even when around distractions. Techniques are based on the individual temperament of your dog; ensuring a more positive outcome.
Behavior Issues
Dogs are social animals and without proper training, they will behave like animals. They will soil your house, destroy your belongings, bark excessively, dig holes in your yard, fight other dogs and even bite you. Nearly all behavior problems are perfectly normal canine activities that occur at the wrong time or place or are directed at the wrong thing. For example, the dog will eliminate on the carpet instead of outside; the dog will bark all night long instead of just when a stranger is prowling around outside; or the dog will chew furniture instead of his own toys. The key to preventing or treating behavior problems is learning to teach the dog to redirect his natural behavior to outlets that are acceptable in the domestic setting.
Private Training vs. Group Training
One of the first decisions a dog owner will have to make regarding training includes whether they wish to enroll in private training classes or group training classes. There are advantages and disadvantages to both. While group classes are typically less expensive, they are not usually as effective as one-on-one training. Private training allows the trainer to devote all of her attention to the dog, ensuring their ultimate success.
The major advantage to group training classes is they allow the dog the opportunity to socialize with other dogs during the class. By utilizing our “K-9 Daycamp” programs, dog owners can receive the best of both worlds: all the benefits of private training, plus the play and interaction with other dogs.
In-home Training
In-home training allows you to work with your dog in your home, the setting in which many behavior problems occur. Many of our programs will combine in-home classes with classes at the daycare to provide interaction with other dogs. Every dog is unique in his/her own way, which means the "cookie-cutter" approach is usually ineffective.
